Description

M103 is an open cluster in the constellation Cassiopeia.  It lies at a distance of about 8500 light years and contains about 175 members.  It has a diameter of about 15 light years.  It was discovered by Pierre Mechain in 1781.  The likely age of this cluster is 20 million years.
